Set in late-19th-century Tiflis, the story follows young Tigran Akhuryan, who, before leaving for university, becomes fascinated by Alina, a mysterious woman living in the house opposite. Her secluded life, fragile state of mind, and distant beauty gradually take hold of his imagination. The work explores first love, jealousy, emotional trauma, and the uncertain boundary between genuine feeling and an ideal created by the mind.
